Investigators said Nguyen's mother reported him missing to the East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office and said he was last seen Saturday morning. The sheriff's office asked LPSO to assist, and they said the investigation led them to Orozco.

The search continued for more clues Monday. Deputies with metal detectors combed the thick brush with no luck before making way for a mower to help clear some of the area.
Within minutes they found what they were looking for. A gun was retrieved, marked and stored away as evidence.
"I've been here a long time," said Vivian Guidry, a resident of the neighborhood where the body was found. "Never had anything like that happen."
People who live close by say the security they once lived in has now been shattered. To hear a person's body was found so close to home has some reconsidering their daily routines.
"I have grandchildren that play here in my driveway," said Dentro. "I watch them the best you can watch children, but you just don't know."
Investigators booked Orozco into the Livingston Parish jail on suspicion of second degree murder. A judge gave him a $150,000 bond today.
